Microsoft has just announced that the Surface Pro 3 would go on sale in 25 new markets later this month, as it works to make the device available to more people across the world.

The Surface Pro 3 will thus go on sale beginning on August 28 in countries such as Finland, France, Germany, the UK, Italy, and Spain, with even more countries to follow soon.

“This means that in addition to Canada, the United States, and Japan, customers in the following countries can get Surface Pro 3 featuring 4th Generation Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 models from Microsoftstore.com, Surface retail partners, and Authorized Device Resellers beginning on that date,” Microsoft says in today’s announcement.

Here are the countries that will get the Surface Pro 3 beginning later this month:

Australia Austria Belgium China Denmark Finland France Germany Hong Kong Ireland Italy Korea Luxembourg Malaysia the Netherlands New Zealand Norway Portugal Singapore Spain Sweden Switzerland Taiwan Thailand The United Kingdom

At the same time, Microsoft has also confirmed that, starting today, consumers in this country can pre-order the device and thus make sure that on August 28 the tablet is shipped to their door.

“Of course, customers can also pre-order all three versions of Surface Pro 3 today in most of these markets for delivery beginning August 28th. Couple this with the release of the Surface Pro 3 Docking Station, available in the US on August 15 and in remaining markets by the end of September and this is going to be a great month for all Surface fans,” the company says.

Microsoft claims that the Surface Pro 3 is a perfect laptop replacement, coming with powerful hardware and bigger than usual dimensions for a tablet that recommend it as an alternative for the traditional notebook.

For example, the Surface Pro 3 has a 12.6-inch screen and a very advanced digital pen that makes it incredibly easy and fast to write down text or draw something on the go. At the same time, there are several CPU options, starting with an Intel Core i3 unit and ending with the more powerful i7.

Storage options also vary by model, but go all the way up to 512 GB, with additional storage offered through microSD card support and OneDrive.

Pricing however isn’t quite appealing, as the top of the range model can be yours in the United States for approximately $2,000 (€1,500).
